About MSAP

MSAP Ireland is designed to assess a range of competencies considered important for success in tertiary study. The purpose of the test is to assess your ability to understand and analyse material you will be given, to think critically about issues and to organise and express your thoughts in a logical and effective way.

There are three test modules available for MSAP Ireland:

  • Module 1 - Written English (1 hour)
  • Module 2 - Reasoning in the Humanities and Social Sciences (1 hour)
  • Module 3 - Reasoning in the Sciences, Mathematics and Social Sciences (1 hour)

This test is independently developed and administered by ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research). ACER has an excellent international reputation and a track record in the development, management and research of selection tests for higher education courses of study.
